Are husband usually better cooks than their wife?

Before I start to write down my cooking process today.I wanna everybody can think about one simple question:
Are husband usually better cooks than their wife?
Uh…What’s your answer? To me, I strongly agree with this opinion. Since in my family, my father is an amazingly good cook. Even though he don’t usually show his talent on cooking; and my grandpa also is a outstanding chef.On the contrary,my grandma and mother seems commonly.
Based on my personal case,I search the internet to looking for others ideas, or data. Here is one survey:
“Yes, according to a new online poll that surveyed more than 2,806 American women. The survey, conducted in March by online marketing company Conversion Hub and food recipe website Asia Food Recipe, found that 58 percent of women said that their husbands were better in the kitchen. The women reported that their husbands are spending more time preparing meals.”(pinterest.com)
You may ask me why I want to start a question like that. Actually here was one allusion: today my host mom texted me that she can’t make dinner for me, because she needs went to Trumbull to visit her bestie Jessica. I felt utterly dispirited and depressed since I know that I gonna stop my challenge tonight. I mean I can’t without her on cooking. But, after one hours, she told me that Daniel (host dad) would taught me to make “BBQ chicken” !!!!
      Okey doke! Let’s start!
First, as usual, we have to prepare the ingredients. The great thing was that my host dad was so nice and he already bought all the material for me. I extremed happy sinceI don’t have to get into the car and rush to the CVS or Stop&shop .If you look at my last blog, you will definitely know that I was truly got a trouble to find one ingredient( cocoa). However, I didn’t have to worried about that. Here was all the ingredients we need:

  1. salt
  2. 1/2 onion
  3. 3 quarts water
  4. fresh thyme
  5. bacon
  6. knife& tablespoon
  7. garlic
  8. 1/2 cup molasses
  9. Chicken legs, with bone in, skin on.
  10. 2 garlic colves
  11. 1/5 cup brown sugar
  12. black pepper
  13. Olive oil
Secondly, we had to find a big bowl, mixing the water, sugar, garlic, salt, oil and  thyme. Then added the chicken. Meanwhile, it was important to make the Barbecue sauce. Since I loved to eat a little bet sweetness and spice, so I putted more brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar. But if you are looking for the classical BBQ source, you can just added salt, black pepper, 2 cups ketchup,  2 teaspoons paprika, 1 cup of water and without any brown sugar. Then, mix all of them and cooked slowly around 3 to 4 minted. After that, added the remaining ingredients, and continually to  cook 25 minutes. Once the sauce is done cooking, you can remove 1/4 sauce, since you can put it side of the chicken. The rest of the sauce will be used for making chicken legs.
Then, it’s time for basing! I was so excited since I never touched oven before, it was not so popular in China. As usual, if we wanna eat  barbecue food, we probably will choose the Korean restaurant.  Also, I reminded one thing that my host daddy told me. When we oven the chicken legs, we had to cook the chicken slow and low, since it would help keep it tender and juicy. Besides that, be careful not to let it dry out. Then, put the chicken legs into oven and cooked for a total of 15 minutes. After that, remove it from the oven and put the barbecue sauce on the top of the chicken legs. Then, return to the oven for 30 minutes.
Finally, I made my first BBQ chicken. It was taste super great. It was succulency, sweet, distinctive flavor and it owns abundant nutrition. Though it took me more than 3 hours to cook this meal. But I was  grateful my host dad—Daniel; and he truly made the wonder BBQ chicken!

Last but not least, I hope if I have chance,  I wanna bring my handmade food, either dessert or chicken to share with my lovely classmates!
